What are the responsibilities and job description for the Help Desk Specialist position at IRI?
IRI is seeking a Help Desk Specialist to join our IT team. As a Help Desk Specialist you will be the primary resource in the organization to provide technical assistance in the areas of troubleshooting and maintenance of all computer systems and required equipment. You will report directly to the IT Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities:
- Respond and address all requests for assistance with the Agency’s computer systems and equipment. This requires traveling to different sites in Queens, Long Island, Brooklyn and the Bronx
- Identify and rectify problems and provide assistance to Agency staff in an efficient and customer-friendly manner.
- Work with other IT staff, manufacturers, vendors, support services and consultants to resolve problems.
- Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end-user workstations and related hardware and software
- Assist with Google suite provisioning, decommissioning emails, resetting users, and groups management.
- Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other systems.
- Maintain inventory of computer and networking equipment.
About You

- You have at least an Associates degree in Computers Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field.
- You have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an IT support role
- You have excellent technical knowledge of PC desktop hardware, operating systems and networking principles.
- You own a vehicle and are willing to drive to different program sites
- You have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- You are a problem solver
- You have strong customer service skills
- You are a good team player and highly energetic
