Position: Accounting Clerk
Location: IRISS HQ - Bradenton, FL
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Accounting Clerk. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our finance and accounting department by performing various clerical tasks and ensuring accuracy in financial transactions. Responsibilities:
Data Entry:
Accurately input financial data into the accounting system.
Update and maintain accounting records and transactions.
Accounts Payable:
Process invoices, expense reports, and other financial documents.
Verify and reconcile discrepancies in vendor accounts.
Accounts Receivable:
Cash application to customer accounts.
Assist in the preparation and issuance of invoices.
Monitor and follow up on outstanding customer payments.
Record Keeping:
Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and files.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports as needed.
Communication:
Respond to inquiries from vendors, customers, and internal staff regarding financial matters.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Assist in preparing documentation for audits.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or relevant education in accounting or finance.
- Proven experience as an accounting clerk or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Salesforce knowledge is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
