Job Description:
Iron EagleX is looking for a Systems Engineer to join us supporting one of our current government customers in Springfield, VA.

Job Duties Include (but not limited to):
- Responsible for installing, configuring, and testing operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
- Responsible for managing application updates by creating and configuring (SCCM) System Center Configuration Manager.
- Responsible for maintaining and managing unclassified networks and a series of classified networks.
- Plays a prominent role in maintaining servers, changing, configuring, and degaussing hard drives.
- Reviews new problem requests and determines if they qualify for root cause investigation and liaison with Problem resolver groups to ensure swift resolution of problems.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience:
- Operates and performs administrative tasks on virtual network, servers, and workstations using VMware product suite
- Assists system testing and certification for CLASS and UNCLASS environments
- Maintains standard operation procedures for disaster prep and recovery operations
- Interacts with internal and external customers; validates system requirements; provides on-site and remote support
- Troubleshoots and resolves system and peripheral malfunctions
- Serves as alternate Cybersecurity Liaison with host-base for SIPR, NIPR, VOSIP, and VOIP requirements
- Assists with system updates, upgrades, and remediation efforts
- Administrator for multi-domain enterprise Active Directory and DNS environment
- Provides advice and training to end-users as required
- Participates in special projects as required
- Familiar with Windows 10 OS, and Microsoft Server OS
- Maintains currently and applicable skillset for assigned tasks
Desired Skills:
- Expertise in designing, planning, managing, and securing cloud solutions to create a sustainable cloud environment.
- Capable of designing, setting up, configuring, and optimizing a cloud computing environment to facilitate accessibility and eliminate cloud design issues.
- Skilled in replicating data in several regions and availability zones by setting up cloud control measures for fault tolerance and disaster recovery. Define access control lists for data privacy and security of data in transit and data at rest.
- Well conversant in AWS services, including EC2, S3, VPC EBS, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, and other services.
- Motivated self-starter: ability to work alone or on team tasks and shift from one task to another
- Strong time management skills and multi-tasking ability
- Excellent research and problem-solving skills
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelors Arts/Science in Computer Science or related fields (i.e., Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering).
- COMPTIA Security CompTIA Security certification or equivalent
- Microsoft Cloud
- Azure 103
- CompTIA Network
- Cloud Architect Pathway Program: ISA 1002 CompTIA Security ; CLO 1005 Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
Security Clearance:
