JOB SUMMARY:

The primary focus of this position is to ensure Ironclad DOT regulated trailers in the field and in inventory are in optimal operating condition and all inspections are current. This will include driving to the customer's locations to perform repairs. This role will also perform advanced repairs and DOT / Cargo Transporters Inspections on returned / rented units.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

Principal Responsibilities:

• Repairs and ensures all Ironclad Units in the field are in working condition, also installs & retrieves equipment. Units are reached by driving to customer locations. This will include:
  • Minor on-sight mechanical repairs
  • Inspection and Compliance repairs
  • Equipment Setup/Disassembly
  • Inventory
  • Loading/Unloading Equipment
  • General Housekeeping
• Performs all Pre-rental Prep Processes and DOT / Cargo Transporters Inspections and Certifications on the Yard while repairing and ensuring all Ironclad Units are in working condition and ready to be rented, when needed. This may include:
• Updating VIK, TUC, P and Annual Inspections in accordance with DOT / Cargo Transporters policies and training requirements
• Minor Welding
• Minor Electric
• Jack / Pump Repair
• Confined Space Entry
• Inventory
• Assists Ironclad Yard with advanced repairs and inspections
• Document work completed and verifies Units are repaired and inspected in accordance with DOT / Cargo Transporters regulations
• Other duties as assigned. Regular attendance is required to fulfill the essential functions of the job

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• The candidate must have any of the following combinations of education and/or work experience with cargo tanks:
  • Has an engineering degree and one year of work experience relating to the testing and inspection of cargo tanks
  • Has an associate degree in engineering and two years of work experience relating to the testing and inspection of cargo tanks
  • Has a high school diploma (or General Equivalency Diploma) and three years of work experience relating to the testing and inspection of cargo tanks; or
  • Has at least three years' experience performing the duties of a Registered Inspector prior to September 1, 1991.
• Experience with general labor which includes:
  • Forklift Operation
  • Inventory
  • Adherence to Schedules & Instruction
  • Backing/Loading Equipment on Trailers
  • Spray Painting
  • Order Filling
• DOT / Cargo Transporters training and certification
• Valid forklift certification preferred
• Valid Driver’s License
• Welding experience preferred
• Email/Cell phone Proficiency
