Description
We are looking for a hard-working and reliable Laborer to join our team ! You will perform tasks involving physical labor on commercial construction projects and safely operating a variety of hand and power tools.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform general construction duties as directed by the Lead and/or General Superintendent.
- Adhere to all company safety requirements.
- General laborer and handyman duties including but not limited to demolition, rough and finish carpentry, drywall installation, drywall patching and repair, minor plumbing and electrical, cabinet installation, final cleaning, caulking, painting etc.
- Prepare and maintain safe and clean job sites.
- Work in close vicinity to moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather.
- Clean up debris and remove waste materials.
- Operate equipment including power tools, saws, lifts, skid steers, wheelbarrows, brooms etc.
- Create and maintain safety barriers, run errands and haul materials.
- Other tasks as assigned by the Superintendent

- Ability to safely lift, push, pull and carry heavy objects (up to 100 lbs w/assistance), sometimes suspended from hoist; walk and stand for long periods of time; work in a generally loud environment; and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field and weather conditions including extreme cold, sun, heat and humidity.
- Repetitive climbing (ladders and scaffolding), stooping, kneeling, bending, and reaching over head.
- Polite, punctual, professional and respectful.
- Ability to read a tape measure (accurately) and make cuts using circular saw.
- Repetitive use of hands and wrists using power, hand, rotational, and vibration tools.
- Tolerate legally permissible exposure to dusts and chemicals, such as cement dust, solvents, and curing compounds.
- Must be able to hear commands from supervisors and back-up safety alarms on equipment.
- The position requires local travel, so a valid license, reliable vehicle and insurance are required.
- OSHA 10 or 30 hour course certificate preferred.
- Willing and able to travel and work at project locations anywhere in the Greater Metro area.
- Understands when to seek out advice or direction from supervisor/lead.
- Previous experience in commercial construction a plus
