A small community hospital near Billings, Montana is seeking a full-time or travel direct hire to join their team! With 36 long term care beds, this facility has a tight and close-knit team looking for a travel/ permanent Medical Laboratory Scientist that fits the feel of the small-town community!
Pay: $35.01-$42.24 hourly (DOE)
Sign-on Bonus: $10,000 w/ 2 year contract
Medical Laboratory Scientist Opportunity:
- Medical Laboratory Scientist collects and prepares various body fluids and tissues for testing as directed
- Medical Laboratory Scientist runs and evaluates quality control data, performs proficiency testing and equipment preventive maintenance
- Medical Laboratory Scientist logs samples and enters patient and test information into the lab computer
- Medical Laboratory Scientist performs routine PM on laboratory equipment according to prescribed schedules
- Medical Laboratory Scientist troubleshoots equipment or method malfunctions and secures necessary service
- Medical Laboratory Scientist performs a large variety of laboratory tests including difficult, complex and non-standardized test
Medical Laboratory Scientist Qualifications:
- BS or BA from accredited college or university
- State of Montana license required
- Skills in urinalysis, hematology, coagulation, chemistry, and therapeutic drug monitoring
- Mechanical skills and a desire to remain current on the latest knowledge in the field of medical laboratory science
