House of Forgings & Ironwood Connection are looking for an Estimator who will work closely with the sales team to ensure all prospective construction projects are accurately estimated for cost, revenue and materials associated with stairs, railings, and balconies. You will use your communication and organizational skills to partner with general contractors, manufacturers, and their representative agencies, to acquire the necessary information to provide these projections. The ideal candidate will also have a strong desire to provide superior Customer Service to exceed customer goals and expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Fulfill client appointments in a timely manner.
- Assess projects by identifying project requirements (regarding time, labor, and material costs).
- Read blueprints and analyze all other applicable documents to prepare estimates.
- Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
- Act as a final say in the calculation, analyzation, and adjustment of estimates.
- Present estimates to clients in a timely and polite manner.
- Recommend cost-reduction options.
- Assist sales team in the final project preparation transactions.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- 2 years’ experience in an estimator capacity ideal.
- Ability to work independently or as a part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, critical thinking, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Time management skills.
