Job Summary:
Field Safety Coordinator – Environmental & Access Solutions: The Field Safety Coordinator will be responsible for providing support and safety leadership to workers in the field, project management and site supervision. This position requires a high level of self-motivation, organization, planning and follow through.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Conducts daily site safety inspections/audits to ensure that safe operating procedures are being adhered to, documents findings and implements corrective actions.
- Has a willingness and aptitude to train employees on various company and industry practices including but not limited to: First Aid / CPR, Equipment Operator Certifications, PPE, OSHA10 / 30
- Assists accident investigations, near-miss and property damage incidents to identify root cause(s) and develop effective corrective actions.
- Represents the Company both internally and externally in a professional manger.
- Performs job site analyses to identify potential employee exposures to injuries and illnesses and institutes safe work practices / procedures.
- Helps manage daily activities regarding injury managements and worker’s compensation issues.
- Travels to different projects to provide field support.
- Maintains a suitable inventory of PPE and safety equipment for assigned region. Inspect and distribute appropriate safety equipment while maintaining safety budget.
- Performs other related duties as requested.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent oral, written and presentation skills to effectively manage, train, motivate, and communicate with employees, supervisors, and customers
- Strong leadership abilities to motivate and coach personnel to accomplish company-wide goals.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Valid driver’s license and good driving history.
- Ability to travel overnight >50%.
Education and Experience:
- Degree in health and safety with (2) years in Safety and DOT Compliance, or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
- First Aid, CPR, OSHA 30, EHAP or additional Board of Certified Safety Professional certifications is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures.
- Must be able to walk a great distance over various uneven terrain.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $56,655.00 - $60,213.00 per year
