Want to help build state-of-the-art IoT software while helping the planet save billions of gallons of water at a fast-paced startup in Minnesota?
Us: Irrigreen is a Minneapolis and Silicon Valley VC-backed startup disrupting the irrigation market by using robotic sprinkler heads, mobile apps, and cloud technology to save half the water used in irrigation.
You: This planet is short on water, and you get to use your software skills to help create the user interfaces and cloud software that run our product and business. You will make a dent in the world while learning and growing in a fast-paced technology driven startup. While you are doing good in a company with a strong mission, you get to grow your software engineering skills at the cutting edge of code design practices.
You will be responsible for:
1) Frontend development – you own this project
2) Backend development – you’ll assist with this for both our IoT product and our business systems
3) IoT architecture and product development
Requirements:
- Coders Code: You can develop high quality software people love, at velocity
- You learn quickly and are not afraid of new things - we have engineers who have created 4 tech companies attracting 60MM in venture capital
- You can build commercial grade software like a CS Pro with 2 years of Javascript experience
- You can show us code and other software you have built – send us some websites and/or projects you’ve built in your job application/resume
- You know the basics of Github source control and the basics of verification/unit testing with Mocha, Pytest, or similar.
- Languages: Javascript and/or Node.js, HTML, CSS. Optional: Python, Liquid and/or Handlebars
- Experience communicating with or building backend APIs
- Nice to have: Experience building a Shopify site or theme from scratch, experience with marketing tools for data collection and analysis like Google Analytics or similar
