Full time legal assistant or bookkeeper sought for a professional law firm environment with a focus on business, immigration, construction, and health care clients.

We are expanding our client services to begin providing bookkeeping, tax planning, and tax preparation services. The successful applicant will be helping with client books.

We are looking for an employee, not a contractor. While this will begin part-time,. there is every intention to make this full time in the future.

Experience or strong interest in bookkeeping or tax planning preferred.

Must be outgoing and friendly. Comfortable with speaking with or emailing clients. Follow-up is KEY. Great spelling and attention to detailed processes is a MUST.

Duties may include the following: preparing and sending mail, assembling binders of documents, organizing files, scanning and saving documents and correspondence, data entry, familiar with quickbooks, reconciling financial accounts, and more. This list may expand as needed and should NOT be seen as a complete list of job duties.

Reporting to the Managing Attorney.

Must have comfort with or willingness to learn various technology tools to integrate with the law firm. Must have at least 1 year of legal assistant or executive assistant experience. Prefer 1 year of bookkeeping or tax prep experience.

Preference given to those with education higher than high school/GED.

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
