As a Retail District Manager, you will be responsible for managing the overall store operations and financial objectives, by facilitating and implementing processes and procedures with the Store Manager.
Travel is required to our retail sites **

Your Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee store operations for Irving Oil operated store locations.
- Lead Store Managers and Store Operations team, while implementing Irving Oil’s culture and values.
- Lead and oversee Store Managers to ensure financial objectives of the store operations are achieved.
- Understand business impacts, and develop methods to mitigate those impacts, while working with store team to achieve results.
- Establish strategies and initiatives for the future while supporting continuous productivity.
- Develop and manage career objectives and performance management of the Store Managers and oversee career and performance objectives of the Store Operations team.
- Ensure alignment between Store Operations and other internal teams, by encouraging collaboration throughout the business.
- Coach Store Managers on Human Resources related topics to comply with site requirements.
- Develop annual budgets for Store Operations and existing sites located in assigned territory.
- Manage store level profit and loss statement including sales volume, margin, and overall expense management.
- Meet or exceed business line KPI’s (i.e., Same Store Sales, VOD, VOC, etc.
- Build the Irving brand as a strong supplier in the market.
- Understand the marketing and sales initiatives and communicate the programs to the field.
- Work closely with marketing and IT to ensure we have a competitive offering in the market.
- Develop local and regional market expertise.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of competitors and industry trends.
Your Skills:
- Strong negotiation skills
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing profit and loss.
- Customer focused with strong relationship management skills.
- Track record of delivering and exceeding objectives/targets
Your Experience:
- 5-10 years of experience in retail management
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
