Job Posting for Fleet Maintenance Manager at Irving Materials
Purpose of Position:
Effectively lead and direct fleet maintenance personnel while ensuring the repair and preventative maintenance of all fleet vehicles and mobile equipment throughout the Kuert Ready Mix Division.
Key Responsibilities:
Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to all safety policies
Provide leadership, direction, and planning for current and ongoing maintenance of ready mix fleet vehicles, light duty fleet, and mobile equipment
Properly communicate with management, team members, and vendors
Ensure operating assets are properly maintained to improve the availability and productivity of these assets
Monitor DVIR inspections and communicate necessary downtime for repairs to PM’s and Dispatchers to ensure visibility with unit availability
Maintain and manage repair parts and materials inventories to appropriate levels
Ensure compliance with all Federal, State and local maintenance requirements for fleet assets, including but not limited to annual inspection certifications
Report to Division VP/GM and Fleet Maintenance Director and assist with budgeting of all fleet assets
Meet scheduled deadlines for completion of work and any other time sensitive responsibilities
Schedule continuing education and training for technicians
Investigate new technologies and processes for the purposes of continuous improvement
All other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years experience with commercial vehicle maintenance programs
Proficiency with computers, including Google G Suite and MS Office
Familiarity with Asset Management Software
Good analytical, planning and organizational skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with internal and external constituents as well as company management
Demonstrated technical competence with the ability to adapt and learn quickly
Must be flexible with work schedule; “non-traditional” work hours are anticipated and travel is required
Must reside in or be willing to commute to the South Bend area daily
