What are the responsibilities and job description for the Creative Copywriter position at Isagenix?

Position Summary

The Creative Copywriter is viewed as a senior role and will serve as a content developer for both internal and external communications. This position involves collaborating with colleagues across multiple business areas to develop different types of sales and marketing materials for multiple audiences while adhering to the Isagenix brand guidelines. To be successful, the Creative Copywriter must be able to take in information via a project brief provided by the business owners as well actively researching trending and best-in-class ideas or concepts. They must be flexible and open to feedback when developing content for websites, product campaigns, field sales tools, video scripts and other misc. marketing materials in order to find the best solution that works for the end user.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)

  • Strengthen the Isagenix brand through content across all communication channels.
  • Create and prepare engaging content for company presence and marketing campaigns using a wide degree of creativity and independence.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across multiple business areas to include, Product Marketing, Creative Services, Field Development & Marketing, Digital Marketing, and Events, to develop new campaigns, messaging, and content.
  • Assure the look, tone, and feel of content fulfills and meets strategic business and branding objectives.
  • Concept and write shareable copy for blogs, website, microsites, emails campaigns, print publications, marketing materials etc.
  • Write, and develop sales-focused, benefit-oriented product content for product sales tools, promotional catalogs, packaging, and digital marketing content in accordance with Isagenix Style Guide.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to generate new topics and campaign strategies in alignment with target audiences.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to develop and execute marketing communications campaign plans and schedules.
  • Monitor industry blogs and other publications to develop a deep knowledge of digital marketing channels and identify relevant news and topics of interest.
  • Proofread communication materials with a keen attention to detail.
  • Produce high-quality work that reflect Isagenix’s strategy and are compliant with the Isagenix brand guidelines. 
  • Lead and mentor less experienced copywriters and team members.
  • Effectively lead communications and articulate thoughts and creative ideas across the organization and project stakeholders. 
  • Provide copywriters and related teams with clear feedback and proofreading edits. 

Minimum Qualifications (These are the requirements that all applicants MUST HAVE to be considered for this position)

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Journalism, English or related field.
  • 4 years of writing experience for publications and/ or mass communications at advertising agencies or in a corporate environment.
  • Provide portfolio of marketing communications writing samples.
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft office software to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, detail oriented and able to coordinate/manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
  • Ability to write and edit in accordance with AP Style.
  • Minimal travel required for events or department assignments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6 years of writing experience for publications and/ or mass communications at an in-house corporate agency or advertising agency environment.
  • Ability to work within a regulated market and the flexibility to adjust copy as necessary.
  • Experience in network marketing and/or health and wellness, natural products industries.
  • DSHEA-compliant copy and familiarity with structure/function claims.
