Quality Assurance Manager

Position Summary

The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager is responsible for overseeing quality activities regarding the safety, quality of our products, thereby ensuring the availability of accurate and safe product for our associates and customers. This includes developing, implementing and maintaining quality programs to improve product quality and ensure products are produced in compliance with product standards, good manufacturing practices and in accordance with government regulations. In addition, this role will be required to provide guidance and consultation on quality tasks and manage a staff of quality including both quality assurance and quality control professionals.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)

• Maintain compliance with all company, domestic and international regulatory requirements.
• Oversee Document Control and lead Change Control (formulas, raw materials, and packaging materials) systems.
• Support activities relevant to both internal regulatory audits and external domestic and International auditing programs.
• Responsible for Raw Materials Supplier Qualification activities including the supplier audit program.
• Develop a training program for internal personnel to ensure personnel are adequately trained.
• Manage 3rd Party Manufacturers ensuring compliance to regulatory and company requirements.
• Organize and ensure the completion of all product investigations, Non-Conformances, OOS’s, and CAPAs.
• Work with internal personnel and other departments to allow for support completion of product complaints and investigations to closure including adverse and serious adverse events.
• Provide expertise in Quality System improvements within the department and company.
• Prepare periodic reports, quality scorecards and analyses to executive management.
• Direct and oversee the work of quality assurance and quality control professionals, including training, mentoring, and ensuring professional development.
• Knowledge of Master Control and or implementation of new quality assurance software program that will allow integration of product development, quality control (testing specs), quality assurance, project management, purchasing, as well as the 3rd Party Manufacturing of Isagenix products.

Minimum Qualifications (These are the requirements that all applicants MUST HAVE to be considered for this position)

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent quality assurance experience.
• 5 years of experience in cGMP environment, such as food, dietary supplements, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, or medical devices and 2 years of management experience.
• Professional experience working with quality assurance, FDA, TGA (Australia), NHP (Canada), or regulations.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, process development, and troubleshooting.
• No dietary restrictions or allergies.
• Must be a non-tobacco user and will not use tobacco products on or off the job during the tenure of employment in Quality Assurance, as it may affect taste accuracy testing.
• Skilled in the use of Microsoft office software to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Strong interpersonal skills, detail oriented and able to coordinate/manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• The office environment requires the use of standard office equipment and personal computers.
• Environment requires the ability to work in a fast-paced office where daily challenges occur, and volumes can be heavy.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Minimal travel required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science, chemistry, biology, physical sciences or applied sciences.
• ASQ Certifications (CQE, CQA etc.) and or HACCP, PCQI Qualified, knowledge of FSMA, SQF regulations.
