Job Description:
- The HR Generalist will provide core, common, and consistent HR solutions to provide large-scale project support to RDS team. Under the direction of HR leadership, this position is responsible for managing day-to-day Human Resource functions including positive employee relations, HR compliance, on-boarding, record keeping, training and development, compensation, and performance management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and advise on programs or strategies that impact the attraction, motivation, development, and retention of the people resources of the business
- Provide HR support on HR policies and processes
- Counsel and/or coach employees and managers regarding employee relations issues including performance management, facilitation of formal/informal complaints to resolution, discipline, and/or terminations in line with local culture and the business and legal environment
- Promote the use of the Colleague Service Center to solicit HR process/functional advice
- Partner with the site, HR shared services, and Business leaders to oversee and provide guidance on site activities, shape culture, and drive employee engagement
- Responsible for remaining up to date on relevant US, and state employment laws and other human resources compliance issues. Update management on policies/processes as necessary. Responsible for oversight and coordination of any regulatory requirements including OSHA compliance and Equal Employment Opportunity
- Collaborate with other peers, subject matter experts, and field HR reps to resolve employee issues in a thorough and timely manner
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in either Human Resources or a business-related field required
- Must have several years of experience in various aspects of human resources (staffing, compensation, employee relations, and organizational development)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint, experience using an HRIS database and reporting application
