What You’ll Do

As a Chief Front-End Architect at iSeatz, you will report directly to the Director of Architecture and play a crucial role in shaping our front-end architecture, ensuring it is robust, scalable, and integrates seamlessly with our back-end systems. Your expertise will be pivotal in mentoring our engineering teams and enhancing our platform's capabilities to deliver innovative, customer-centric solutions.

Your Impact

  • Design and implement scalable, high-performance front-end architectures using Node.js and TypeScript, ensuring maintainability and adherence to excellence.

  • Lead and mentor junior and mid-level engineers, through effective coaching methods while fostering a culture of learning and growth within the technical teams.
  • Partner with engineering, operations, and product teams to develop cohesive, functional solutions that enhance user experiences.
  • Continuously explore and adopt new technologies, particularly those that can enhance our presence in the travel industry.
  • Utilize Vercel and similar technologies to their full potential, optimizing our product offerings.
  • Apply expertise in technologies and seek performance optimization techniques that lead to the development of fast, efficient, and highly interactive web applications, directly impacting user engagement and satisfaction.
  • Create applications that comply with accessibility standards that broadens market reach ensuring legal compliance, fostering an inclusive user environment.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align technological development with business goals for sustained growth and innovation.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Proficiency in building scalable and efficient applications using Node.js and TypeScript.

  • Proven track record leading and developing technical teams with success fostering a positive and productive environment.
  • Strong capability to articulate technical decisions and to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Extensive experience with modern development tools like Vercel, adhering to best practices in performance optimization and security.
  • Expertise in creating applications that adhere to WCAG and other accessibility guidelines.
  • Strategic alignment of technology implementations with broader business goals.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to speak confidently and clearly to team members and clients of diverse levels and backgrounds, ensuring effective and inclusive interactions

Bonus Points

  • Background or deep understanding of travel- and loyalty-related technologies

  • History of adopting emerging tech that significantly enhances user engagement and performance
  • Skilled in adapting applications for global audiences

Location

This role is remote-first. iSeatz is a New Orleans-based company with Central Time Zone business hours, but feel free to work from your home office, from the beach, or from the cottage you rented for the summer!
