What you’ll do
The Quality Assurance Manager reports to the Vice President of Engineering and leads full-time and contractor team members across the globe.
In this role you will enhance the overall product quality and engineering processes of our current and future booking and transaction platforms while collaborating with cross-functional leadership teams, vendors, and our customers.
Your Impact
- Lead, coach, mentor, manage, train, and coordinate the skills and efforts of Quality Assurance team members, and be a culture and core values carrier for your team.
- Lead the development of testing strategies and perform hands-on testing including Integration, functional, stress, performance, accessibility, and compatibility testing of APIs, UI, and web-based products across various browsers and OS platforms.
- Effectively collaborate and communicate with Product, project managers, customers, and other stakeholders in a fast-paced Agile environment.
- Manage and support various test environments to ensure proper configuration and availability.
- Build a performance- and accountability-driven team culture while defining QA KPIs, team vision, goals, and strategy.
- Recommend, implement, and maintain infrastructure tools and non-production environments to support uninterrupted QA testing by internal and external stakeholders.
- Champion and lead the growth of an efficient test automation suite using Selenium, Jenkins, and other modern software development tools.
- Use data, business cases and industry knowledge to communicate with your team, peers and leadership and infuse relevant thought leadership into all planning discussions.
Actively participate and contribute to all employee engagement and performance management initiatives, both org-wide and team specific.
What you bring to the table
- 2-3 years of experience leading, managing, and mentoring high-performing quality assurance teams distributed across time zones.
- Bachelor's degree or higher (or equivalent professional experience), with 5 years of experience building testing strategies, test plans, and test cases of web-based applications including API testing.
- Previous experience in building and leading web and platform testing, security testing, i18n, l10n, accessibility testing of API and web GUI.
- Previous proven experience building and leading automation test suites for web applications and APIs using tools like Selenium, Jenkins, Jmeter, TestRails, etc.
- 2-3 years of experience working on cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, and Azure.
3 years of experience working in a fast-paced Agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and directly interacting with customers.
Bonus points
- Experience testing travel-based products and platforms like air, car, and hotel booking tools, engines, and suppliers.
- Experience with AWS and other observability tools like CodePipeline, CloudWatch, DataDog, etc.
Experience with security compliance testing, fraud detection, and vulnerability testing.
Location
This role is remote and can be located anywhere inside the continental United States. iSeatz is a New Orleans-based company with Central Time Zone business hours, but feel free to work from your home office, from the beach, or from the cottage you rented for the summer!
