Production supervisor

The Company :

IGE Performance Chemicals is a chemical manufacturing and processing company located in Mountain Top, Pennsylvania. IGE has a chemical product R&D development team, which develops manufacturing processes in a lab for different specialty chemical products, starting with a pilot-scale manufacturing process and finishing with a medium-large scale production setup.

Additionally, IGE has a production team consisting of 15 people, which performs synthesis and physical processing (grinding, blending, sieving, etc.

The Position :

The Shift Supervisor will work full-time in IGE’s manufacturing facility in Mountain Top, Pennsylvania managing the 10AM-6PM production shift.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction, training, and guidance to Plant Operators
• Ensure that records are properly maintained and filed.
• Manage continuous improvement efforts and coordinate with Production Manager to ensure Preventative Maintenance of equipment is regularly scheduled and carried out correctly.
• Ensure safety, environmental and GMP standards are being met.
• Ensure raw material requirements are met and available for Production operations.
• Responsible for the execution of the production schedule to satisfy customer requirements with respect to time, cost, and quality.
• Ensures that the necessary plant Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) are developed and that production employees have been trained to meet plant operations objectives.
• Develop a system for accurately measuring and controlling such as Overhead and Capital Expenditures.

Qualifications :

• 5-10 years of Supervisory experience and a proven track record of Project Management is required.
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Engineering.
• Experience in a GMP environment.
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
• Well-organized, time efficient and effective communication.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
