SR. FIELD SERVICE TECH

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

*Responsible for the field and on-site maintenance needed to keep equipment operating reliably and safely.

*The Field Mechanic applies automotive mechanics knowledge related to the inspection, maintenance and repair of fleet equipment consisting of a solar hybrid generation fleet, light truck fleet and construction equipment.

* Receive instructions from the Operations Manager, and perform work to make sure it conforms to established regulations and procedures.

*Must be B level professional mechanic or show skills consistent with the ability to train on specific aspects of the fleet. Will train select candidates on specific skills with solar and inverters.

*Knowledge and background in a wide variety of skills. These skills include but are not limited to, equipment service and repair of Generation trailers, DC electric systems, batteries, solar panels and inverters. Small gasoline and diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.

JOB DESCRIPTION

*Field Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance and repair of company-owned, mobile generation fleet, light truck fleet and construction equipment.

*Repairs / Replaces Vehicles & Components- Uses hand tools to Inspect, maintain and repair fleet. Changes, inspects fluids, replaces parts, makes adjustments and inspection of operating systems.

QUALIFICATIONS

*Ability to read and interpret schematics and work with tech support relating to equipment troubleshooting and new equipment start-up. Self-starter and detail-oriented individual. Follow all policies and procedures. Interface well with customers and the public. Ability to perform other tasks within the organization when needed.

*Education- High School Diploma or GED Experience. Must have a valid driver’s license with 5 years of clean driving history. Drive and operate nonclass A service truck with Auto Crane. Rigging and ability to connect and tow trailers.

*Physical Demands- Driving, lifting and carrying 50 LBS. Working in noisy, wet, heat and snow conditions. Occasional work at night and weekends. Ability to staff on-call schedules. Ability to work alone safely.

*Base Pay Range: $54,000.00 - 83,740.60 rate of pay may vary based on several factors with experience and education.

*Medical/ Vision / Dental. Take home vehicle.
