Medical Assistant

Full-Time Medical Assistant position available in our busy Dermatology practice. Experience in the medical field preferred, but not required.

Must have reliable transportation to travel between both our Ronkonkoma & Riverhead locations.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist the physicians in exam rooms
• Give instructions to the patients as instructed by the physicians
• Maintain inventory and ordering medical supplies as needed.
• Proficient in EMR system
• Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies per OSHA guidelines
• Triage and process messages from patients and front office staff to physicians.
• Maintain biopsy & melanoma logs
• All other duties assigned by the clinical coordinator or practice administrator

Skills:

• Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
