The Opportunity

ISMG’s events also provide vendors with an effective method to raise brand exposure and awareness, and drive lead generation through sponsorship opportunities. Critical to the success of these sponsorships is having full attendance of quality guests! That said, we are looking for a Delegate Acquisition Manager who will lead attendee recruitment and community management for ISMG’s vendor-sponsored events.

In this role, you will focus on understanding the target audience of our sponsors and engage in a variety of strategies to identify and attract qualified guests to our events.

What you'll be doing

• Researching target markets and persona profiles to identify specific audience groups and expand our current database.
• Satisfy attendance goals for a portfolio of global events in various industries, converting prospects into event attendees.
• Identify and attract qualified attendees by working off a defined account list, conducting independent research, and networking with Senior Executives for referrals.
• Utilize a variety of research strategies/tactics to identify net new, unsolicited contacts and meet a monthly goal of database additions.
• Connect with C-Level and other Executive Leadership prospects through phone calls, Social Media/LinkedIn and email campaigns for event registration.
• Create and manage email invitations, utilizing A/B testing and track performance to improve response rates and conversions.
• Track attendance confirmations and limit attrition through consistent communication with registrants throughout the event life cycle.
• Maintain and nurture a past attendee and prospect database using ISMG’s CRM tools.
• Engage in post-event conversations to collect feedback from former attendees and gauge interest in possible future events.
• Analyze event results and performance, showcasing key metrics for improvement.
• Monitor industry trends and stay up-to-date on new marketing technologies and techniques

What you’ll bring for success

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Events, or related field.
• Entry level experience or fundamental knowledge in audience development/attendance recruitment.
• Phenomenal written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Ability to concisely convey value proposition and alter messaging based on a prospect’s individual interests.
• The ability to work independently in a fast-paced media environment.
• Experience with marketing automation programs (specifically Marketo) a plus!
