About the Role
Contribute to day-to-day operations of the Custom Insights team – a team dedicated to delivering measurable value to insurance carriers, especially the Top 10 carriers by Line of Business. Develop insights, identify process improvements, and carrier connections to our data assets. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with analytics team to identify and document data insights at a client and industry level - creating ad hoc reports, interacting with customers to identify analytic needs based on ISO data, clients contributions and industry trends.

About the Day to Day Responsibilities of the Role
- Explore data developed insights produced by team to add context, color, and a story around the observations.
- Leverage knowledge of P&C industry to inform and validate customer needs.
- Work with internal stakeholders and external clients to identify needs/requirements for data insights reports and translate those requirements to the data analytics team to ensure appropriate data is captured and leveraged.
- Create insurance industry reports and insights for both personal and commercial lines that leverages best practices in data visualization.
- Present deliverables to internal stakeholders and clients with professionalism.
- Work with marketing and leadership to craft messages and deliver content to appropriate audience through multiple media channels.
- Develop Go-to-Market strategies that align with a larger portfolio of products and services.
- Manage timelines and deliveries of scheduled monthly and quarterly deliverables.
- Create and maintain documentation that will support the effective implementation of repeatable processes and workflows.
- Attend meetings to collaborate with cross functional teams to identify and ultimately resolve issues.
- Work closely with the Product, Data and Operations Management staff in the development, implementation, maintenance and regular distribution of useful measurement reports that will have high visibility at the leadership and executive level.
- Analyze complex processes and workflows to identify and implement improvements to increase productivity and improve cycle time resulting in significant business improvement and customer satisfaction.
- Research industry trends and competitive publications / reports,
- Be comfortable finding anomalies, diagnosing issues and proposing solutions to leadership and analytics teams.
Requirements:
- Four-year college degree in Business, Actuarial, Data Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Finance, Business Administration or related discipline.
- 5 years’ experience within the Property/Casualty industry focused on one or more of the six major lines of business (homeowners, personal auto, businessowners, commercial auto, commercial property and general liability).
- Experience working with insurance data and analytics a plus.
- Strong data analysis, data verification, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent writing, proof-reading, communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to distill complex concepts into language that is understandable and compelling to business decision makers.
- Driven, self-motivated and self-directed; comfortable working in teams and independently to complete projects.
- Must be highly organized and able to work efficiently on multiple projects to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively to achieve superior results.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly PPT, Word and Excel.
- Familiarity with Verisk solutions a plus
- Business Intelligence experience, user experience design, and data visualize experience a plus
