SUMMARY

QA Lab Techs evaluate film quality at various stages of manufacture and are responsible for testing final product for compliance to customer specifications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for researching jobs in IQS for production.
  • Responsible for testing samples according to the frequency chart for compliance to customer specification.
  • Entering data into the IQS system.
  • Responsible for all lab requests.
  • Communicates with QA assistant for out of spec product.
  • Communicates with Production as needed.
  • Generates NCM's in timely manner and place on roll in the hold area.
  • Responsible for updating all NCM's.
  • Responsible for releasing all rolls not on hold when the job is completed.
  • Responsible for setting up jobs.
  • Responsible for cleaning up after your shift.
  • Responsible for completing current days work by the end of your shift, no rollover work.

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 6 months on the job training.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Ability to complete reports and forms associated with the position : Ability to communicate effectively orally, and in writing.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusion. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations : Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
