ISYS Technologies is hiring a Narrowband Spectrum Management Analyst

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical analysis to assist with contingency and non- contingency Narrowband  operations, planning, management, and control activities.
  • Provide technical support for planning and managing requirements for users and payloads, encompassing legacy to future systems and requirements.
  • Provide support for the development of new operational management, planning, and control systems tools.
  • Support trend analysis activities and operational deficiency assessments in support of operations and management.
  • Provide EMI support to mitigate, resolve, and recover from Narrowband interference, and support EMI resolution and coordination activities.
  • Support constellation health and welfare monitoring activities. Provide support to mitigate, resolve, and recover from satellite anomalies.
  • Provide technical input in support of constellation reconfiguration activities.
  • Provide support to maintain contingency plans to optimize the constellation.
  • Assist with the Government’s revision of plans, policies, and documentation to account for future changes in Narrowband  and satellite payload requirements in support of operational decisions; and Periodic review of instructions for current applicability and accuracy as changes occur to the space segment, control segment, and terminal segment.
  • Provide support for coordination activities with CCMDs and other users to assess availability of Narrowband requirements to support current and future operations, OPLANs, CONPLANs, and optimization of  resources for priority missions.
  • Provide support to produce orders that provide oversight and direction to the Narrowband  COI.
  • Provide assistance with posting, editing, and maintaining appropriate content on the JFSCC website in support of the Narrowband  mission.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and document TTPs.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Specific experience in Constellation level operational or technical management, staff level experience (e.g. technical writing, briefing development, coordination, staff structures, etc.), and experience or support to the broader SATCOM community of interest.
  • The selected candidate will have at least eight (8) years of demonstrated relevant experience, or education in communication principles and  theory, plus experience with at least one (1) related communications and computer systems.
  • Selected candidate will have operational and maintenance experience of the relevant space, airborne, and terrestrial networks and systems.
  • Demonstrated relevant experience with the  apportionment planning and allocation processes taking into consideration all ground, space, and control networks, and operational control of sub-networks for apportioned resources.
  • Current US Citizenship and a Top Secret/ SCI Clearance is required

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly sit, walk, stand and climb stairs and steps. May require walking long distance from parking to work station. Occasionally, movement that requires twisting at the neck and/or trunk more than the average person, squatting/ stooping/kneeling, reaching above the head, and forward motion will be required. The employee will continuously be required to repeat the same hand, arm, or finger motion many times. Manual and finger dexterity are essential to this position. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, depth perception and telling differences among colors. The employee must be able to communicate through speech with clients and public. Hearing requirements include conversation in both quiet and noisy environments. Lifting may require floor to waist, waist to shoulder, or shoulder to overhead movement of up to 20 pounds. This position demands tolerance for various levels of mental stress.
