Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Preschool/PreK teacher to join our team. As a Preschool/PreK Teacher you will play a crucial role in shaping the minds and lives of young children before starting Primary School. Your responsibility will be to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment that promotes the social, emotional, and intellectual development of each child.
Duties:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and educational activities
- Provide a variety of learning experiences that cater to the individual needs and interests of each child
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, cooperation, and kindness
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to ensure a safe and orderly learning environment
- Assess student progress through regular observation, assessment tools, and formal evaluations
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns or achievements
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to plan and coordinate school-wide events, programs, and initiatives
- Stay up-to-date with current trends and research in early childhood education to continuously improve teaching practices
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of preschool or early childhood education principles and practices
- Excellent classroom management skills to create a positive learning environment
- Ability to effectively communicate with young children, parents/guardians, and colleagues
- Understanding of child development theories and ability to apply them in the classroom setting
- Experience working with children with special needs or diverse backgrounds is preferred
- Proficient in creating engaging lesson plans that incorporate various subjects such as math, science, language arts, physical education, etc.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with young children on an individual level
Qualifications:
- Certfifcation in Early Childhood Education (required)
- CPR/First Aid certification (preferred)
- Previous experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting (preferred)
