ITA is seeking a Software Engineer II to join the team at our ITA Headquarters in Newport News, VA.
Responsibilities
- Serving as a part of an agile development team,delivers an end-to-end data pipeline automation of deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management in a cloud environment for existing Navy Customer;
- Lead Dashboard Design activities;
- Contribute to the development of complex ML & data science based scripts, and/or templates, and dashboard;- Collaborating with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution;- Contributing to the design of information and operational support systems;- Providing assistance with Enterprise Application Development;- Provides support for compliance and continuous improvement for software development and software policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Required Experience:
-Bachelor's degree plus 3 to 10 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree plus 1 year of relevant experience.
-Preferred degree in Computer Science (CS) or Software Engineering or related fields of: Engineering, Mathematics and Data Science.
-Relevant experience includes at minimum, a concentration of courses in the following foundational CS areas: algorithms; computer architecture ; programming methodologies and languages; data structures; logic and computation; and advanced mathematics (for example- Advanced Statistics, Calculus, Discrete Mathematics).
- Experience in Tableau
- Experience in Oracle database
- Experience in Python development
-Ability to Obtain and Maintain a Secret Clearance
-Desired KSAs/experience:- Knowledge of software engineering, specifically data science related to developing complex dashboard;- Demonstrated experience with secure development, coding, and engineering practices;- Experience in Microsoft PowerBI;- Scripting skills, including shell scripts;- Ability to work in an open team environment;- Security first mindset;- Strong verbal communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
