We are actively seeking a motivated Construction Manager for various positions in Birmingham, AL. These positions will be crucial in overseeing project timelines, budgets, and quality standards. What you'll be doing (duties of this position):
  • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets.

  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate in the estimation and preconstruction phase, providing input on project feasibility, costs, and timelines.
  • Work closely with the estimating team to develop accurate project bids.
  • Contribute to value engineering efforts to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
  • Lead and guide project teams, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to assess progress and address challenges.
  • Provide clear direction and support to ensure project success.
  • Monitor project budgets and control costs throughout the construction process.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Implement cost-effective measures without compromising project quality.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular project updates.
  • Address client concerns promptly and ensure overall satisfaction.
  • Foster positive client relationships through effective communication.
  • Develop and manage project schedules to ensure timely completion of milestones.
  • Identify and address potential delays, proactively implementing solutions.
  • Optimize project timelines while upholding quality standards.

What you'll need to be considered (requirements):
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in construction management.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety protocols.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Certifications (Preferred): Professional certifications, such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or CM (Construction Manager).
