Job Title: Desktop Support Specialist

Location: Carrollton, Texas
Position Overview:
This position provides technical assistance and support to end-users with computer hardware, software, and network issues. S/he will be responsible for maximizing the technology performance and availability at our locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware, software, and peripherals such as printers, scanners, and other office equipment.
- Responding to and resolving technical issues and service requests from end-users via phone, email, or in-person.
- Troubleshooting and resolving network connectivity and related issues.
- Setting up new user accounts, managing user access and permissions, and resetting passwords.
- Providing training and support to end-users on how to use computer hardware and software applications.
- Collaborating with other IT support teams to resolve complex technical issues and problems.
- Maintaining accurate records of all desktop support activities, including service requests, technical issues, and resolutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems.
- Experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues with desktops, laptops, and other devices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with end-users.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other IT support teams.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to changing work requirements.
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and other network management tools is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability lift/move up to 35lbs in a safe manner
- Dexterity, repetitive physical motions, hand/wrist movements
- Proper grooming, professional attire, and able to pass alcohol/drug screening
- May involve bending, reaching, crouching, kneeling, and stooping
- Responsible for review of formal training and monitoring completion compliance for all classes and training, field management meetings, and online or in-person assigned training programs.
- Position requires prolonged periods of standing/walking around store or department
- Maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and adequate personal liability insurance.
