Full Job Description:
This position will provide comprehensive project management support for an initiative to implement Federally mandated changes to the federal student aid systems (Oracle and custom solutions). They will work closely with the Project Sponsor, Project Consultant, Project Team, and Consulting Partner to plan and execute project tasks, manage issues and risks, and report on project status, from project initiation to close-out. The Project Manager will utilize established Project Management Methodology (Waterfall) to conduct this work.
- 8 years project management experience that includes software package deployments.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of project management principles and methodologies and successful implementation of IT projects in a complex organization.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal, facilitation and collaboration skills
- Ability to evaluate and prioritize multiple tasks, manage change, and make project decisions.
- PMP certification
- Higher education experience
Required Education : At least a Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems or closely related field is required.
