Asset Network Planner (FT)

• Plan loads to achieve the performance goals established for drivers and equipment.
• Pre-plan trucks on loads 24 to 48 hours in advance of equipment becoming available.
• Work with agents to secure freight for trucks that achieve established goals.
• Develop closed-loop freight lanes with consistent customer freight.
• Develop truck profiles and monitor trucks' performance including rate per mile, loaded & empty miles, etc.
• Conduct daily check calls with your drivers dealing with ETA’s, issues, updates, etc.
• Assist trucks with various operational concerns including providing direction, identifying repair facilities and or closest truck stop, etc.
• Support agents in emergency and non-emergency situations.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in the trucking industry.
• The preferred candidate will have experience dealing with freight for flatbed, step deck, and dry van trailer types.
• Ability to work unsupervised.
• Excellent communication skills: phone and written.
• Knowledge of U.S. Department of Transportation rules and regulations.
• Knowledge of load requirements for different equipment types including flatbed, step deck, dry van, others.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Responsible for timely accomplishments of various projects.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task.
