Be skilled, knowledgeable and also know the latest techniques in the field and make optimum use of the resources that are available. Be responsible for completion of the project in time and under the set budget with good quality. Project manager is also responsible for coordination, control, completion and execution of a particular project; one main duty includes maintaining a record of the resources and deliverables plan and work accordingly. To be able to complete all the below stated responsibilities, the project manager should have a dynamic personality so that he can manage the tasks efficiently. Must be able to create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. Effectively applies our methodology and enforces project standards. The senior project manager is responsible for managing and mentoring the project managers across all the companies projects. is responsible for the project management department budgets and implementations of the EOS in addition he/she carries all the same duties as the project manager below on their own projects.
POSITION SPECIFIC REQUIRED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Adhere to all company policies, processes, procedures, rules and regulations at all times
- Analyze production output to keep projects within estimated budget and schedule
- Analyze the Scope of Work sheets for each project to protect the company’s interests.
- Be a leader in safety, quality, improvement, and efficiency for Operations
- Be responsible for preparing and reporting data to the Operations Manager for month end financials
- Become well versed in the construction capabilities of the company
- Collaborate with Sales to obtain pertinent data about projects
- Conduct an analytical review of plans and specifications against sub-trade quotes and exclusions
- Deliver quality projects to customers that are completed on time and on budget, at minimum
- Develop, monitor and maintain all business relationships with outside firms and personnel in an effort to maintain relations for future work
- Ensure customer satisfaction and promote outstanding customer service
- Ensure order hand-off, follow-up and/or project meetings happen as necessary
- Generate concise and accurate takeoffs for material acquisition
- Interact with sub-trades to maintain open lines of communication for best price and compliance to spec
- Interface with Sales/Estimating as needed to assure “build-ability” to questionable specs or design details.
- Maintain a positive attitude with clients and staff
- Monitor sub-trades activities against project schedules
- Stop any work conducted in an unsafe manner
- Transmit addenda to subcontractors
- Treat all employees, customers, and contacts with dignity and respect
- Verify products and materials applications to the needs of the project against Company capabilities
- Verify the fit of sub-trades to the scope/size of the project
- Work with staff to ensure proper handling of accounts and schedules for proper project completion
Administrative/Legal/Professional Services
· Complete one-on-one monitoring monthly meetings and evaluations with each project manager
· Delegate tasks to individual project managers setting clear standards for their work that they'll use to integrate each task into a completed project
· Full project lifecycle ownership successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to development for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously
· Manage all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to the directly support the achievement of strategic objectives
· Provide status reporting regarding project milestones deliverables dependencies risks and issues communicating across leadership
· Work creatively and analytically in a problem solving environment demonstrating teamwork innovation and excellence
· Participate in establishing practices templates policies tools and partnership to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization
· Complete all project risk assessments
· complete cursory review of PM financial projections
· manage ongoing projects quality control and participate in quality issue resolutions
· track all safety incidents and ensure timely resolution
- Be aware of typical contract language with regard to Operational activities (time delays, change orders, schedules, etc.); interface with the General Manager on project concerns which may affect contractual agreements
- Participate in the implementation and completion of the company’s annual inventory
- Review administrative activities supporting project management, engineering, accounting, and manufacturing operations in the facility; make recommendations for change as needed
- Review sub-trade contracts with the Administrative Assistant as needed to assure proper scope of work and supply from trades/suppliers
- Offer feedback to Sales on cost vs estimate
- Participate in Sales Hand-Off Meetings and with all other departments to assure a smooth project review and order transaction. Offer feedback as needed to correct poor hand-off situations.
- Assist in setting quality and performance goals with the Quality Assurance/Safety Team
- Become a low level code expert to monitor engineering and project management for compliance to codes (especially on the Industrial Projects where codes are not always specified)
- Review the inspection and certification activities of the projects for code approvals and other quality/safety related matters.
- Coordinate, review and approve all invoicing from sub-trades in conjunction with all contract payment terms and conditions. Protect the Company from early or non-compliant payouts
- Generate, review, monitor and manage all project invoicing
- Work with accounting to analyze and control Operation expenditures against budgets
- Participate in annual employee review
- Monitor and review production output of projects with Production Manager to assure complete customer satisfaction in meeting delivery schedules
- Monitor the approval process of all projects with Third Party and other agencies having jurisdiction with PM’s and Engineering to assure timely approvals on projects
- Oversee the structural steel engineering and detailing of each project; assure constructability

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
