ITL Solutions is looking for a new member to join our team who is interested in designing and developing new product solutions for our customers. This includes designing, fabricating, and assembling products for testing with revisions prior to transitioning into production. In this role you will be a member of our Engineering and Operations Team and provide support to our Sales Team in developing pricing and customer solutions. Experience with metal additive manufacturing or welding is desired, but not necessary.
ITL Solutions is a fast-growing ISO 9001:2015 certified Defense Contractor who supports our customers in the Maritime and Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) sectors. We are looking for a motivated individual to support engineering and system development for our US Military and Federal Government Customers. The Mechanical Engineer Assistant will work closely with Engineers, Technicians, Fabricators, and Subcontractors to reverse engineer, design, fabricate, machine, and assemble components and systems. Experience with fluid transfer systems is preferred, but not required. Experience in the Maritime or Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) is desired, but not required.
Essential Job Responsibilities
· Strong computer skills in Microsoft Outlook and Office.
· Able to read and interpret instructions.
· Interested in solving problems.
· Strong attention to detail.
· Fast learner with excellent communication skills.
· Background and reference checks will be conducted. Ethics is part of annual performance appraisals.
Qualifications
· Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing principles such as casting, forging, thermoforming, injection molding and additive manufacturing.
· Understanding of Research and Development (R&D) and able to independently develop new ideas and concepts to improve product designs.
· Able to develop manufacturing and assembly drawings as well as bills of material.
· Able to manage the production the process of prototype systems in house and manage subcontractor delivery of components and assemblies.
· Knowledge and understanding of pump systems and pump characteristics.
· Proficiency with Solidworks or similar.
· Capability to develop work instructions for assembly and manufacturing.
· Knowledge and understanding of reverse engineering of obsolete components.
· Knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100.
· Familiarization with government buying and purchasing is desired, but not necessary
· A Valid Drivers’ license.
· Ability to gain access to and drive aboard Federal Government /Military Installations.
· Ability to lift 40 pounds
