What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Engineer (PCBA & ECAD) position at Itron, Inc.?
Itron's West Union, SC location is seeking an Electrical Engineer. Serves as the central resource with ECAD design, processes, manufacturing capability, test, and quality requirements. Promotes investigation and application of new technologies and industry trends to ECAD product management activities. Ensures that products shipped meet specifications and quality goals. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to understand product metrology requirements, including internal specifications and applicable industry standards
- Develop PCBA schematics and PCBA layouts using commercial components and custom PCBs for rigorous environmental conditions and adhering to mechanical constraints
- Conduct and participate in design reviews
- Troubleshoot, support, and improve existing PCBAs
Qualifications - External
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering required
Prefer 1 to 2 years' experience in PCBA ,ECAD tool set
Demonstrated experience in board development utilizing microprocessors, discreet components, and voltage clearance requirement
Plus if you have a Master's Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
