What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welder III position at ITT Inc.?
Production welder will be responsible for using Weld Procedures, Drawings, and fixtures to weld knife gate valve components to meet various customer pressure vessel requirements.
Essential Responsibilities
Maintain safe working environment at all times.
Keep equipment and tools clean and operable to meet requirements.
Obtain qualification to different weld procedures as required. Most are
Deburr and weld prep as needed for production welding.
Use provided written weld procedure, drawings, and tooling to produce pressure weld.
Conduct visual inspections of completed welds.
Assist with valve assembly, handling, and testing as required

Position Requirements
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
One-year certificate from college or technical school; or 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
