Responsibilities for this position include daily payroll processing and support activities, processing temporary employee time records, labor utilization reporting, daily invoicing of intercompany transactions, product costing analysis, recording day-to-day journal entry transactions and recurring monthly entries, timely reporting during month-end closing, general office plant activities support, and other duties as appropriate within the scope of this role.
What we are looking for:
We seek candidates with proven ability to meet payroll and accounting cycle deadlines in a self-directed manner. The successful candidate should also possess a strong attention to detail, and proven ability to create pivot tables and analyze data in Microsoft Excel. Strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality are required.
Education and experience:
- Associates Degree in Accounting
- 1-2 years of accounting experience
- Attention to detail with accuracy is essential
- MS Office application proficiency
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel and pivot tables
- Ability to read and interpret policies and procedures.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of employees with courtesy and tact
