Internship Program Overview:
ITW’s interns are encouraged to think and act like entrepreneurs and are provided significant responsibility and autonomy to get things done. As an intern, you will gain substantial personal learning and career development opportunities through ownership of real-world job assignments, strong coaching and mentorship and networking with senior leaders across the Enterprise.
Our campus includes an on-gym, cafeteria, outdoor volley ball courts, one mile of walking trails, employee resource groups, and ample parking. We are one block walk to the nearest Metra station, and it is a quick 20-minute train ride to downtown Chicago, museums, lakefront and activities.
Summary / what you will do:
The Diversity & Inclusion/ Human Resources Intern will combine their education with practical HR experience in core HR areas. This intern will work with the Corporate Talent Team on a variety of assignments that may include projects around talent acquisition, talent management or supporting other functional groups at ITW Corporate.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support and collaborate on the development, promotion, & implementation of D&I Efforts
- Contribute to the growth and development of ERGs (Employee Resource Groups)
- Partner with the Corporate Talent Team on a variety of projects.
- Assist and support ITW’s Enterprise Intern Program
- Support other functional areas (i.e. Employee Communications, Corporate HR, etc.)
- Additional duties & projects may be assigned
What we are looking for:
- Rising junior or senior pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Communications, Economics, Social Justice or related disciples
- Leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills and activities demonstrated through professional, community or extracurricular involvement
- Basic understanding of Human Resources and a desire to pursue a career in HR
- Eagerness to learn, demonstrated curiosity and a drive to excel
