Position Objective:

The Financail Analyst will have an active role in the month end closing process, provide accounting expertise on financial matters related to general operations, and ability to provide financial insight by evaluation of KPI’s within the ITW Drawform business.

The ideal candidate has a data-driven thought process, who has experience collaborating within a larger cross-functionality team, and whose passion and work ethic align to drive towards accuracy of financial reporting and continuous improvement of the overall team.

Essential Functions:

• Participate in month-end and quarter-end closing procedures.
• Oversee the accounting and tracking of fixed assets and capital spend within the business.
• Assist in the setting of material and outside processing standards used in the business.
• Manage the accounting side of the consignment inventory locations.
• Provide analysis of segmented looks at the profitability of the business.
• Provide KPI reports with insight analysis into trends and takeways from the data.
• Assist in special projects oriented to meet business financial goals.
• Assist and/or own the updates of periodic corporate and government surveys of operational data.
• Learn and apply the ITW Principles and Enterprise Strategy to eliminate complexity and improve performance indicators within area of responsibility.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Accounting
• Minimum 3-5 years of related experience, within a manufacturing environment
• Exhibit knowledge and ability to apply accounting principles and practices accurately and with minimal supervision.
• Experience with Financial Statement preparation.
• Preferred experience with costing and inventory management.
• Experience working with information technology, ERP systems, and proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products. Advanced and accurate Excel skills required.
• Trustworthy in maintaining confidentiality on sensitive and protected matters.
• Possess creative and intuitive skills to analyze and improve processes / procedures.
• Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and willing to take collaborative initiative.
• Able to be a self-starter, quick study, and work independently.
• Possess strong analytical skills to develop and interpret quantitative information.
• Be collaborative and able to function in a team environment among cross-functional areas of the company. Professional interpersonal skills are essential.
