Job Description
Position Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineer – Deltar Fasteners will report to the Technical Engineering Manager – Deltar Fasteners and will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating manufacturing processes in the facility: Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods and quality control standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Project management of automation and related equipment, from concept development through successful production deployment.
- Assist maintenance and production teams with troubleshooting of automation equipment.
- Identify and proactively implement continuous improvements.
- Repurposing and modification of existing automation equipment.
- Analyzes and plans space requirements, workflow and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
- Confers with management, engineering support, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
- Represent Manufacturing Engineering in cross-functional design review meetings.
- Estimate production times and related costs to develop financial justifications needed for management decisions.
- Must be able to communicate with all levels of facility personnel and outside vendors.
- Other tasks and duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Position Skills and Experience Requirements:

- BSME or equivalent
- 1 – 5 years’ experience in Manufacturing Engineering or closely related field preferred
- Familiar with vision systems, robotics, and programmable logic controllers
- Broad knowledge of instrumentation and software technology and design
- Familiarity with plastic products and their applications acquired through 1-5 years’ experience with focus on Automation preferred.
- Must have a mindset/focus dealing with high-speed automated inline manufacturing targeting zero ppm.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Working knowledge of CAD (SolidWorks preferred)
- Computer Skills (MS Office, SharePoint, Power Bi a plus)
- Must expect a small amount of travel.
