Job Description
Job Summary:
Responsible for the painting jobs assigned and making a quality product. Work toward standards of job assignments and work in a clean and safe manner
Tasks, Duties, Responsibilities
· Prepare and clean parts for painting.
· Liquid spray painting of parts.
· Powder painting of parts.
· Capable of power washing all parts.
· Fork lift operation.
· Hazardous material handling on a daily basis.
· Complete paperwork assignments, work orders, time accounting, etc.
· Maintain painting equipment and tools.
· Operate air or electric grinders.
· Meet the objectives outlined in the Safety Policy.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Education Qualifications
Knowledge: Basic computer knowledge. Paint experience preferred, but not required.
Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to follow directions, quality orientated, ability to operate hand tools, strong interpersonal skills, basic reading and writing skills, good time management skills, ability to operate and maintain light machinery, hoists and lifting devices
Abilities: Understanding computer assignments and paper work procedures. Ability to accept and follow instructions for work priorities and work methods. Strong work ethic and self-motivation with minimal supervision. Ability to show flexibility with various work assignments. Must be able to work in a team environment as a positive contributor. Capable of operating light machinery and operate hand tools.
Education: High school graduate or equivalent (or working towards equivalent).
Specialized Training
Avery Weigh-Tronix will provide specific training for the following specialized processes. These are to be recorded on the employee’s training record:
· Hoist & Forklift Training
· Hazardous Waste Handling Training
