Our Body and Fuel products are made up of fuel housings and doors, charge ports, and Capless solution for major OEMs around the world.Job DescriptionThe Product Manager for the ITW Body and Fuel Division will report to a Sales Manager and will be responsible for growing a specific category of strategic ITW Automotive products with OEM customers. The role includes managing the commercial and sales activity, while supporting the local innovation team on ED&D improvement, and project team by maintaining program timelines/activities to achieve successful product launches.Primary Responsibilities:Responsible for technical sales and commercial activity (quoting and negotiating) related to growing business with responsible product category.Leverage methods to ensure that products and designs meet quality, performance and cost expectations as well as solve customers’ problems.Ensure the voice of the customer is clearly understood and translated into requirements and technical specifications.Launch product within the agreed budget.Work with sourcing to negotiate cost with supplier to meet product profitability.Global technical support for the productApply Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) framework while leading the management of projects and programs.Partner with Leadership, Engineering, Operations and Quality on activities related to production process development, capex, Tooling automation and validation.Willingness to travel 20% of the time. Domestic and International travel will be required.QualificationsDegree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent in-depth knowledge 4 years of experience in program management applying APQP principlesProven demonstration to lead and develop direct reports.Knowledge in the plastic processing, plastic product design, and electrical systems design, preferably in the automotive industryProven ability to understand customer needs, engage in proactive feedback, and recommend solutions within process capabilities.Additional InformationITW is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
