Job Description
Job Summary
The position will report to the Quality Manager and is responsible for meeting the expectations of ITW and its customers regarding Safety, Delivery, and Quality of all products sold or purchased. Interface and act on customer’s behalf to improve overall quality through investigation, analysis and correction of internal process and product deficiencies. Activities pursued will consistently target strategic goals and objectives in areas of safety, warranty, first time quality, sourcing, cost, efficiency, and continual improvement.
Primary Responsibilities
- Drive a culture of Safety, Wellness and ITW’s Core Values, ensuring proactive practices
- Drive “Zero Defect” mentality by aiding in the development of internal personnel to correctly identify and communicate process, product and supply chain issues in a timely fashion
- International partnership while supporting global sites
- Develop, implement, and maintain alternative methods of making manufacturing practices safe, more efficient and cost effective; look at space constraints, material requirements and current needs in order to improve
- Provides training and daily communication to production departments to maintain proper inspection and testing techniques. Monitors daily results and KPI's to continuously look for quality improvement opportunities
- Assists in identifying the root causes of a problem and instituting corrective action, as well as verifying effectiveness
- Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends. Participates in the generation and implementation of defect-reduction programs.
- Resolve daily issues and delays in production related to product/process quality
- Ensures full compliance with the quality system in place, at the operation at all times
- Ensures that product quality is attained in the assigned product group or program through fulfillment of workmanship standards and quality program requirements
- Develop and implement quality process documentation (PFMEA, control plans, work instructions, related drawings, etc.)
- Develop long-term quality customer and supplier relationships through timely and thorough responses to claims and concerns
- Interacts with representatives from a variety of functional groups, including design engineering, manufacturing engineering, purchasing, the program office, and all production and inspection personnel in the assigned product or program area, as well as others within the Product Assurance Dept. Also, may interact with customer and supplier representatives on quality issues.
- Champion problem solving and root cause analysis activities with production, suppliers, and customers to eliminate recurrences of non‐conformances
- Conduct audits to drive process standardization, waste elimination, and continuous improvement
- Perform any other duties as required

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor‘s Degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or related field preferred
- 4 years of related quality or manufacturing experience
- Advanced computer skills using Microsoft Office
- CAD Experience required
- Experience in Lean and/or continuous improvement environments utilizing tools such as Kaizen, Kanban, visual workplace, 5S, etc.
- Familiarity of Total Quality Management, FMEA & Control Plans
- ISO 9001:2015 Certification or equivalent preferred
- Understanding of dimensional layouts, blueprints, and electronic controls
- Travel Requirement – Domestic and International travel 10%
