Job Description
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Sourcing Manager is responsible to manage the sourcing team and ensure that all aspects of the sourcing function are completed accurately, timely, and in compliance with internal policies and procedures.
Qualifications
• Develop sourcing strategies for product lines. Review supply base to ensure sourcing support to business strategies. Develop multiple sources for key products/components if needed
• Establish and maintain strategic supplier relationship. Manage major supplier initiatives to optimize costs, quality, delivery, sustainability and compliance
• Perform spend analysis. Direct the negotiation and RFI / RFQ process to ensure Best Cost-for-Quality. Liaison with segment/corporate sourcing resources to project market costs and the financial impact to business
• Lead the vendor qualification process and act as main negotiator for supplier agreements/contracts. Manage and improve supplier performance through scorecard and business review
• Support new product development (NPD) projects by leading supplier selection, cost negotiation and capability enablement. Work with suppliers to ensure OTIF for load-in requests
• Manage sourcing team by establishing goals & objectives. Lead and motivate the team to accomplish the goals & objectives. Ensure cross-function support including Procurement, R/D, Brands and Finance
• Other Duties as required.
Position Skills & Requirements
- B.A. or B.S. required; Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years sourcing experiences within consumer goods industry and 3 years of supervisory experience
- Knowledge of chemistry industry preferred
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Able to lead and/or work with cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
