Build your career with IU Health! We have an exciting opportunity available for a RCS Senior Business Expert to join the Revenue Cycle Services team.
This position is responsible for leading a team of business experts in analyzing and providing applicable business solutions for IU Health entities supported by Revenue Cycle Services. This position researches and tracks trends within the department to determine any improvements needed for development efforts. Analyzes data gathered by team from the department staff in order to develop process improvement tools, process workflow, and ensure team implementation to the said RCS department. Position is assigned higher complexity tasks than those expected from RCS - Business Expert, and incumbents are held to higher productivity and quality standards. Position adheres to departmental productivity and quality standards in support of operational goals.
- IDX Charge corrections
- Teach/train/re-train IDX charge corrections (new & existing Team Members)
- IDX system project work for automating charge corrections that comes with v7.4 & Indigo upgrades in 2023 & 2024
- Charge correction audits for errors & corrections
- Document SWs for charge corrections & other IDX processes
- Technology Consultant
- Leverage IDX knowledge for IDX & ETM workflow efficiency opportunities & builds (combine technical with operational) within CE Strategy & Automation/Cost To Collect scopes (i.e. unidentified opportunities) working in TQM/Learning Excellence while in conjunction with PFS Solutions Team & RCIS
- Resource for Pediatric Billing Team for "consultation" related to CYS functionality/operations translated to CHPI functionality/operations
- Spot resource for RCIS if needed to help on IDX projects that would benefit PFS

- Requires High School Diploma.
- Associate or Bachelor Degree in related field preferred. Requires proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Visio & Access).
- Requires 5 years experience in revenue cycle operations in various positions related to the position.
- Requires a high level of interpersonal, problem solving, and analytic skills.
- Requires effective written and verbal communication skills in both individual and group settings to ensure professional correspondence and presentation to all levels of individuals within the organization (operational team members, leadership internal and external to Revenue Cycle, and other external individuals/groups).
- Requires the ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with others.
- Requires ability to set and adjust defined priorities as necessary and to process multiple tasks at once.
