Accounting Specialist

We're looking for an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our expanding team at Iverson Auto Group in Huron. If you are a detail-oriented accounting professional who is dedicated to maintaining financial accuracy, we invite you to apply!

Responsibilities

• Perform daily financial transactions with accuracy, ensuring streamlined accounts and smooth posting processes.
• Handle accounts receivable and payable with precision, emphasizing efficiency and accuracy.
• Maintain financial integrity by meticulously managing various different statements
• Ensure timely delivery of month-end dealership accounting reports.
• Record transactions within general ledgers accurately to safeguard our financial integrity.
• Generate required reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Post invoices and manage cash receipts accurately.
• Provide assistance in office operations and undergo cross-training in all office functions.
• Greet and direct visitors, manage customer payments, and issue receipts.
• Handle telephone and email inquiries in a friendly and helpful manner.
• Maintain a safe and clean reception and lounge area.
• Coordinate the usage of rental vehicles, managing reservations and inventory.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in accounting or related field.
• 2 years of experience in an accounting role, strongly preferred- especially in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Exceptional organizational skills, ability to prioritize work assignments, and meet deadlines independently.
• Proficiency in financial transactions, accounts receivable/payable, and general ledger management.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, time management skills, and attention to detail.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
