ABOUT THE ROLE
Nurse Practitioners ensure that we continue to deliver an unmatched, high quality care experience for our patients. Our NPs bring a comprehensive perspective to our care model that is fundamental to how we deliver care. Providing a personal touch, we look to them to provide support and expertise not only to our clinical team, but to our patients and referring providers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assess and document the health status of the patient. Including SOAP note documentation
- Provide intake including vital signs, medication reconciliation, and health history
- Provide onsite supervision for all patients
- Prepare patients for infusion or injection
- Deliver infusions or injections in accordance with prescribed protocols and organization guidelines
- Ensure patient care is documented in the Electronic Health Record
- Keep environment clean and disinfected after each patient use
- Assist in maintaining medical inventory and supplies
- Reinforce patient and family education regarding disease processes and treatment side effects
- Work collaboratively with clinical and front desk staff to ensure highest level of patient care
- Assist with audits and regulatory functions, as needed
- Assist with annual staff review process including skill competency assessments
- Openly communicate with referring/prescribing providers, such as order clarification, patient status, and plan of care
- Work at multiple centers / facilities within a market as needed

Qualifications
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Excellent IV skills (Infusion Therapy experience a plus!)
- Demonstrates a commitment to improving the quality of patient care

- Sound understanding of all federal and state regulations including HIPAA and OSHA
- Experience and strong familiarity utilizing Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
- Knowledge and proficiency with standard office software applications including Microsoft Office Suite
REQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, & EXPERIENCE
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner license for state where practicing and allowed to treat both children and adults
- Board certified by ANCC or AANP
- Completion of Master's Degree or Doctorate in Nursing program; Over 2 years, up to and including 4 years
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- Experience in an infusion setting preferred
