The Corporate Controller is responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, accounting operations, and regulatory compliance within the organization. As a key member of the Accounting team, the Corporate Controller plays a critical role in shaping financial strategy, driving operational efficiency, and safeguarding the Company’s assets.

- Direct and administer all financial operations of the portfolio, including, but not limited to, asset protection, financial reporting, systems management, Accounting team management, and meeting participation and facilitation.
- Ensure the proper, timely, and accurate performance of Daily, Weekly, Period, and Annual Accounting and reporting functions.
- Serve as a partner to hotel management in providing and explaining Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Reporting.
- Assist and advise department heads and property leaders with the interpretation and analysis of financial data.
- Establish and maintain internal control processes related to the Company’s corporate Accounting functions.
- Oversee cash flow management initiatives to maintain liquidity, support operational requirements, and enhance profitability across the organization.
- Support the development of the annual business plan and budget process.
- Facilitate approval of invoices for payment.
- Direct and participate in preparing and reviewing monthly financial statements, including P&L statements and Balance Sheets.
- Develop and implement expense control systems and strategies for hotels.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with banking and lending institutions.
- Direct the preparation of standard tourist and sales tax monthly filings for the State and County and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Maintain a strategic Capital Expense procedure.
- Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors during annual audits, coordinating audit activities and addressing any audit findings and recommendations.
Qualifications:
Education: College of higher-level education with specialization in Accounting or Finance preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience of progressive accounting experience, including managerial responsibilities
Thorough understanding of accounting principles and practices, with knowledge of GAAP, USALI and financial reporting requirements
Must be bondable and scrupulously ethical
Must be a strong leader, self-motivator, and team builder
Must be willing to sign a non-disclosure and non-solicitation agreements
