Shop Technician
Intelligent Wellhead Systems (IWS) is currently seeking a full-time Shop Technician to join our team in Colorado. IWS designs, tests, manufactures, and deploys proprietary and unique digital safety and efficiency workflow technologies for oil and gas well completion operations. The company’s inVision™ Technology Platform helps oil and gas and oilfield services companies reduce operating risk, lower the total cost of operations, and improve uptime. IWS is seeking a highly motivated Shop Technician to support our Colorado Team, reporting to the Colorado Facility Supervisor. IWS is a niche within the oil and gas sector, providing ample room for growth and career development. The candidate should have prior experience working in a manufacturing or a Repair and Maintenance facility setting. The selected candidate will be expected to learn the ins and outs of IWS’ technology. The facility located in Berthoud, Colorado. This position is generally a Monday to Friday schedule, with overtime as required.

Reporting to: Colorado Facility Supervisor
Essential Job Functions:
- Assist with shipping and receiving responsibilities as needed
- Manage inventory, counting and replenishing as required
- Operating heavy equipment such as forklift safely
- General labor assisting with basic assembly, metal fabrication, and paint prep
- Assembling and calibrating equipment
- Assisting the Engineering and R&D teams as requested
- General housekeeping involving a daily checklist ensuring shop cleanliness and efficiency
- Various other tasks associated with maintaining field equipment
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to use hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Cross departmental work, assisting a variety of different positions such as engineers, welders, software teams, etc.
- This position is from Monday to Friday, with the working hours falling between 7:00am – 6:00pm
- Overtime may be required based on business needs.
Experience and Academic Qualification Requirements:
- Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to work with conflicting priorities while under pressure and managing deadlines
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements according to business needs
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving equipment
- Exceptional organization skills
- Strong communication skills, written, verbal, and social
- Valid driver’s license
- Forklift certifications preferred
- Evening and weekend availability are required
- Repetitive work and motions including but not limited to: working with electrical cables, cleaning and power washing, etc.
- Ability to work well independently as well as in a team environment
- Goal orientated and safety conscious
- Ability to follow directions
