Safety Director

We are looking for a committed, hard-working Safety Director who is looking for a company that values your time and talents. This position is for a part-time employee; however, we are amenable to discussing a contractual position.
The Safety & Quality Control Director is responsible for the overall safety of the job sites. This position requires the ability to physically visit and evaluate job sites. This position is also responsible for the company's training programs.
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for the overall safety and training of J. A. Street employees
· Assuring compliance with OSHA standards relating to the construction industry
· Responsible for OSHA Citations and Appeals
· Maintaining all records of training, insurance forms and filings, and governmental correspondence
· Assuring proper posting of regulatory agencies in the main office and at job sites
· Responsible for implementation of and monitoring of the TN and VA Drugfree Workplace program
· Filing and monitoring all Workers Compensation claims
· Assisting in job bids and proposals to provide pertinent information regarding Compensation Mod Rates, Injury Rates and Lost Time Accidents
· Supervises the Return-to-Work Program
· Manages the Safety Incentive Program
· Perform periodic inspections of all construction sites
· Must be able to make independent decisions
· Must be able to work under pressure and multi-task
