Data Architect III

Job Title: Data Architect III Department: IT, Telecom & Internet Country: United States of America State/Province: Arkansas City: Lowell Full/Part Time: Full time Job Summary: Under general supervision, this position works closely with Business Analysts and Applications teams to understand business processes and how those processes create, use, update and archive data. Using this knowledge, the incumbent will create and maintain data models, meta data, glossaries and other corporate data assets. Job Description: Key Responsibilities: •Maintains the Enterprise Logical Data Model (ELDM) and Technical Business Glossary. •Supports business stewards in the creation and maintenance of the Enterprise Business Glossary. •Designs, modifies, and maintains system level conceptual, logical, and physical transactional and dimensional data models based on Business Requirement Documents (BRDs). •Provides Data Definition Language (DDL) for physical database implementation. •Provides SQL support for query optimization reviews as well as sample queries with data for model validation. •Provides data analysis and technical support for query optimization and database proficiency. •Assist application teams on designing their data flow. Qualifications: Minimum Qualification: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field, or foreign equivalent, or suitable combination of education, training and experience; plus 3 years of experience as a data modeler to include top-down modeling experience: Conceptual to Logical; Logical to Physical; experience with working with business partners to gather and document requirements, experience working with DBAs and developers to validate physical models; experience with ERwin or ER/Studio.
