What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Worker position at J&B Products Inc?
Purpose:
The Production Worker is responsible for maintaining manufacturing operations by following work instructions, running production machinery and keeping equipment and the surrounding work area clean and safe.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Effectively runs production machinery during assigned shift.
2. Monitors the production process.
3. Inspects products at the machine for quality discrepencies and reports any problems found.
4. Follows written work instructions.
5. Ensure that end products meet quality and quantity standards of the company.
6. Creates accurate record keeping on a daily basis.
7. Monitors equipment to ensure that products are being produced properly.
8. Ensures that the workstation and equipment is clean and free of hazards.
9. Follows all safety guidelines and adheres to all daily housekeeping initiatives.
10. Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed.
Required Qualifications:
Education, Training and/or Experience:
1. High school diploma or GED.
2. Previous experience in warehouse setting.
Knowledge, Skills and abilities:
1. Demonstrates problem-solving skills necessary to troubleshoot production issues.
2. Ability to read, write and interpret reports and business correspondence for a diverse audience.
3. Works efficiently and manages time effectively.
4. Maintains a high level of energy and a positive attitude.
5. Self-motivated, proactive and solution focused.
6. Able to work on feet for long periods of time.
7. Ability to work in a team environment.

Physical Demands:
Nature of work requires an ability to operate in a standard warehousing environment. Requires ability to communicate and exchange information. Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. independently.
